Bridal Fitness,Getting Ready for Your Big Day and Romans 8:28
As many of you may know, I was married to a true gift from God on August 28th. Here is a little story on why that day (which happened to fall on a Wednesday this year) was so very very important to my wife – to – be and myself. The date is 8:28, and our favorite Bible verse happens to be Romans 8:28. Dont get me wrong, there are many fine Bible verses (and my wife has a particular fondness for Isiah 40:31,) but Romans 8:28 held and will always hold a very very special place in our hearts. For those of you that dont know the verse:
“And we know that God works all things together for the good, for those that love him, for those that are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
When my wife and I were experiencing some extremely trials and tribulations, we held onto this verse. We clung to it for our very lives. Through tears, I would beg God to make the pain go away. I would beseech God and remind him (as if he ever needs reminding) of his PROMISE that he made to me in this verse. So my wife and I thought the best way we could honor God’s faithfulness to see us through the storm was to get married on 8:28. We enjoy sharing our testimony of why we chose that day with others as a statement of our faith and that Our God is ABLE to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or even think to ask.
Anyone that rememebers that day, there were torrential downpours all over Philadlphia, but through the talent and patience of Marty and Emily (of Bello Romance Photography) we captured pictures and memories we would have never experienced any other way. Here is some of their Amazing work:
